Upper GI Series

The upper gastrointestinal series is neither sensitive nor specific for the diagnosis of GERD but is useful for the evaluation for the presence of anatomic abnormalities such as esophageal stricture, hiatal hernia, pyloric stenosis, antral or duodenal web, malrotation, and annular pancreas.
