    HIPAA Policy

    The EQIPP program complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPPA) regulations in that the EQIPP database does not collect any individually identifiable health information from your patient’s charts, furthermore under HIPPA and the accompanying Privacy Rule regulations, the American Academy of Pediatrics is not considered a covered entity because it is not a health care provider, health plan, or a health care clearinghouse.
