Birth parent/family assessment for OUD common comorbidities
As part of CDC and ACOG guidance, the birth parent should be tested for common opioid use disorder (OUD) comorbidities, such as:
- Infectious diseases, including sexually transmitted infections
- HIV/AIDS
- Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C
- Liver enzymes and serum bilirubin test to detect liver disease
- Serum creatinine levels test to detect silent renal disease
